Hello all!
We actually just got through a very fun weekend at Southside; we had the Harley-Davidson semi full of all sorts of toys. From experience, those bikes are tucked in that trailer! We had everything from a Nightster all the way to multiple CVO Street Glides and Road glides. Katrina got to try out her first heritage and her new favorite the Lowrider ST. I rode both Pan Americans and a very, very rowdy CVO Road Glide! If we ever win the lottery, there will be signs!!!
The second thing I want to go over is the Blogs on the website. This is where the historical challenge is posted right now with all the coordinates. I am going to start using this as much as possible with chapter news, and changes of ride dates and locations. As I said at the meeting, please make sure you are logging out and back in as that will refresh the site. If you stay logged in all the time, if anyone does any updating, you won't see it.
With the historical marker challenge, Katrina and I have already gotten two that were nearby us where we live (Danville Downtown Marketplace and the Mooresville Birthplace of the state flag). We are soon to be going for the next three in our row. If there would be anyone that would like to join us, please let us know as we will be going to Crawfordsville, Lafayette, and Oxford. (Hint: I’m from there and we won’t get lost!). This challenge has turned out to be fun, and a little bit challenging on how you’re going to get your photo. Please don’t tear up yourself or a Motorcycle trying to get your photo. If I can see the plaque, your bike, and yourself that is good enough. No need to get too close and get hurt! Ask Katrina, we drove through a bank backwards on a Sunday and she was throughly freaked out.
For the rest of May and June Rides, We have a few to look out for. We have a few to keep an eye out for. On 18th of May, we have the state motorcycle memorial cleanup that will be leaving the BP station at 69 and State Road144. On May 31, we will be having the new style miracle ride, still raising money for the miracle ride endowment and Riley Children’s Hospital. In June, we have the “GO TO HELL, MIchigan” ride for the challenge coin ride. On June 28, we will be riding down to the state motorcycle memorial for people who don’t normally go during the cleanup event to be able to visit it. As always, keep an eye on the calendar for events that you might want to be included on.
